First Saturday Devotions each month at Flemington

The MMP holds First Saturday Devotions on each First Saturday of the Month at St Dominic’s Catholic Church at Flemington (opposite Flemington railway station). These Devotions, which are held in response to Our Lady’s requests at Fatima, commence with Mass at midday, followed by Benediction and then by the Cenacle itself. Confessions are available from 11am to 3pm. Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament continues after Benediction until 3pm. A light afternoon tea is available in the hall after the Cenacle (kindly bring a plate to share with others).

It is hoped that these devotions, which had been temporarily suspended due to the Covid-19 epidemic, will resume on Saturday 5th Sepetember 2020.

Annual MMP Retreat for Oceania in 2020

The Annual Retreat for the MMP in Oceania for 2020 was to have been held on 17 – 21 August 2020 at St Clement’s (Redemptorist) Retreat Centre at GALONG (near Yass) in NSW.

Initially we were expecting about 90 people to join in (similar to last year), then because of the social distancing requirements forced on us by the Covid-19 pandemic, we had to cut the retreat back to just 25. Unfortunately now, because of the rapid spread of the virus in Victoria and (to a lesser extent) in NSW in recent weeks, it has been decided that the risks (to staff and retreat attendees) of holding the retreat at Galong this year are too high and so the only responsible thing to do was to cancel the retreat in its usual format.

It has been REPLACED however by a much smaller retreat – for just 5 priests – in the Sydney suburb of Carlton.

We hope, however, to allow other priests, the laity who had registered for the retreat this year, and all other MMP members to participate in the retreat by live-streaming (on facebook) nearly all events in the Retreat Program.

The retreat begins on Monday 17 August, and concludes on Friday 21 August 2020.

A downloadable (and printable) program for the retreat is available by clicking on the relevant link below.

A link to the facebook page on which all retreat program events will be live-streamed is also provided below. You not need to have a facebook account to access these live-streamed events. Simply click on the link  Alternatively, you can type the link (https// into your browser and press enter.

Each of these ‘events’ will remain accessible on this facebook page, so if you can’t participate when the event is actually being live-streamed, then you can view them afterwards. We will also load them onto a MMPRIESTS youtube channel that is in the process of being established (more details when available).
