UPCOMING EVENTS

First Saturday Devotions each month at Flemington NSW

The MMP holds First Saturday Devotions on the First Saturday of each Month at St Dominic's Catholic Church at Flemington (opposite Flemington railway station) in Sydney. These Devotions, which are held in response to Our Lady's requests at Fatima, commence with Mass at midday, followed by Benediction and then by the Cenacle itself. Confessions are available from 11am to 3pm. Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament continues after Benediction until 3pm. A light afternoon tea is available in the hall after the Cenacle (kindly bring a plate to share with others). It is hoped that these devotions, which had beeen temporarily suspended in response to the Covid-19 epidemic, will resume on Saturday 5 September 2020.

Annual MMP Retreat for Oceania in 2020

The Annual Retreat for the MMP in Oceania in 2020 was to have been held from 17th to 21st August 2020 at St Clement’s (Redemptorist) Retreat Centre at GALONG NSW. Unfortunately as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, and the recent rapid spread of the virus in Victoria especially, and to a lesser extent in NSW, in recent weeks it has been decided that the risk to staff and retreat attendees was too great and that the only responsible thing to do was to cancel the retreat (in its usual format) this year. It has been replaced by a much smaller retreat - for 5 priests only - in the Sydney suburb of Carlton. The retreat will be led by Fr Hugh Thomas, a Redemptorist and very experienced retreat giver who has led the MMP annual retreat twice previously. To enable other priests, all the laity who had registered for the retreat this year, and all other MMP members (especially those in Victoria who are in our payers) to participate, we are this year (for the first time) LIVE STREAMING many of the key events in the Retreat Program. For further details, including a program of the events being live streamed, and a link to the facebook page where you can see these events, go to the EVENTS page on this website.

28th Annual New Year's Eve Prayer Vigil at Flemington

The 28th Annual MMP New Year's Eve Prayer Vigil will be held at St Dominic's Church at Flemington on 31 December 2020. The Vigil commences with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament from 8pm. During the night there are three MMP Cenacles, and Benediction followed by MASS at midnight. Confessions are available from 8pm. A light supper will be available in the Parish Hall (kindly bring a plate to share). The Church is air-conditioned, and is located on the corner of The Crescent and Hornsey Rd Homebush West, opposite Flemington Railway Station. There is plenty of parking available, and trains run all night.
